Dr. David M. Coonrad, D.C.

"The Soccer Doctor"

Dr. David M. Coonrad established private practice in 1975, following graduation from Columbia Institute of Chiropractic. Compelled by an interest in the mind/body connection he began studying a wide range of natural, holistic healing methodologies which included bio-magnetics, acupuncture, deep myofacial release techniques, applied kinesiology, and many other chiropractic methods. Additionally he studied extensively in the human potential movement as well as philosophy and psychology. Recently his studies have concentrated on Network Chiropractic and sport injuries. In addition to a general practice, he has treated many athletes from youth to professionals, including  outstanding high school and collegiate athletes and professionals who have played for the NY Yankees, NY Giants and the NY Cosmos. Dr. Coonrad is also the team chiropractor for the Arsenal/World Class U-18 Girls National Semi-finalist soccer team. In 2005 the "soccer doctor" was selected as the team chiropractor for the Metrostars, the Major League Soccer team.

Through almost 30 years of experience, he has accumulated techniques and philosophies, which provide consistent results for his practice members. He is currently synthesizing these methods into a model he has termed "Full Spectrum Living".

In addition, he is active in the community as a coach, referee and administrator of  youth soccer. He is married and the father of 5 athletic children.

Linda Schefers Coonrad, B.S.
